With all the new property cooling measures popping up (read here, here, and here!), is property investment still a valid investment vehicle in Singapore? Maybe we should ask ourselves what are the alternatives to investing in property in Singapore. What are the perks of looking elsewhere in the region to buy properties? Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Auckland, Perth, Melbourne, London, Hong Kong? What do we actually want to see in investing in property? Is it the capital appreciation? Is it the passive rental income? Or is it just the thrill of having a property deed in our names? Are there actually other investment vehicles that offer the same conditions and benefits as property investments?

Just some food for thought!
